Summer is coming to a close though the hot weather is till upon us. We have been busy working on exciting collaborations with our community of friends within our Tohoku project and planning exciting trips to Bolivia and Peru later in October 2023, which we will of course update you on. In the mean time please see our latest news from our Tohoku project below and browse for further products on our website.

Our Tohoku Project was started two months after the devastating earthquake in the region in 2011. We created collection of simple T-shirts, engaging factories that were still operational, however without much work. Since the initial collection we have kept working and endeavouring to increase their production to support the Tohoku region.
Through collaborating with likeminded friends such as Richard Windsor, James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem) and Hiroshi Fujiwara, we aimed to create awareness and support and to continue production in the region.
We have developed a unique blend of organic hemp and cotton specifically aimed to create comfort throughout the hot summer months.
All organic hemp and cotton used for this project is grown free of chemical fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides and defoliants.
The first rumours we heard of Pizzaiolo Daisuke Nakamura was back in 2017. His restaurant Bacar on the remote island of Okinawa, had become famous amongst our passionate chef’s and foodie friends in the UK and US.
It took another 2 years before we had the opportunity to visit his place and we were blown away by his delicious pizzas. We have been regulars at Bacar ever since and asked Daisuke if we could design a graphic T-shirt for him.
The result is “PACE” which means “peace” in Italian.
This project is an homage to Daisuke’s dedication to the craft of pizza making and we are honoured to introduce this T-shirt together with Bacar.
