We are excited to announce the launch of our new website and online-shop!

For the launch we are introducing a special capsule collection of Tatreez embroidery garments hand embroidered by Palestinian women from the Dheisheh and Arroub refugee camps. Furthermore, together with Pure Fabrications in Copenhagen, we are launching archive pieces, which has been up-cycled, re-imagined and customised through specialised handcraft.

Palestinian heritage and craftsmanship

We first travelled to occupied Palestine back in May 2012. Since then we have developed relationships with Palestinian crafts communities exclusively run by women.

The practice of Tatreez Embroidery originated in Palestine over 3000 years ago. The unique motifs of embroidery signifies Palestinian heritage and identity, for women in particular.

For this project we teamed up with our friends from the Palestinian-Israeli fashion brand ADISH.

ADISH

All of ADISH’s collections are made locally in Occupied Palestine and Israel, and the designs centers around traditional techniques of the region.

Their collection features hand embroidered Tatreez from over sixty Palestinian craftswomen produced in Ramallah, Dheisheh refugee camp and Hebron.

PURE FABRICATIONS

PURE FABRICATIONS is handcraft collective from Copenhagen, operating with an all-female design and production team using only organic materials and manufacturing exclusively in Europe.

Entirely new and unique pieces have been created by PURE FABRICATION through deconstruction and re-imagining archive garments and excess fabrics from our mainline collections. We are proud to launch this one of a kind collection, which transcends season cycles, mass production and textile waste.

Style can't be mass-produced.
